Michelina Campolattano Rimer, age 48, of Prospect, formerly of Derby, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Alec Rimer.
Michelina was born in Amorosi, Italy, on April 5, 1962. She is the beloved daughter of Pasquale and Carmela Campolattano and was a Derby resident for most of her life until moving to Prospect in 2001.
Michelina worked for many years as a Sales Leader for Insphere Insurance Solutions, and had currently taken a position as Vice President of Sales for GoGreen Technologies. She was a selfless, loving person who was very much devoted to her family.
She is the loving sister of Nancy Giugno and Peter Campolattano, and his wife Josie. She is the proud aunt of Carmina and Pasquale Campolattano, and Daniela and Gianni Giugno. She is also survived by her parents-in-law, Fran and Gil Rimer, and aunts, uncles, and cousins both in the U.S. and in Italy, as well as her beloved dogs, Max and Mellow. She will be sadly missed by her close friends who supported her with their love and attention during her illness.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 pm at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby.
Due to the inclement weather, calling hours will also be held on Monday from 6 to 8 PM.
Her funeral will leave the funeral home on TUESDAY at 9:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Mary Church. Entombment will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be to the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven Hospital P.O. Box 7611 New Haven, CT 06519.
